Scrapbook Lady Classes

If you have been thinking about joining in one of our classes for Term 3 - there is still time.  We work by School terms so you have til the end of September.

Each class requires you to bring along a basic kit - everything else is supplied and covered in the cost of the class.

Sometimes it's the little hints that you pick up from a class that will stay with you forever - and quite often these hints can be very basic.

There are several different classes available.  You can ring to make a booking or drop into the shop.

Thank you.

Everybody loves a bit of bling........................

so why not pop into the Scrapbook Lady and have a look at the newly re-stocked glitter and embossing powders.  There are a few new colours to the mix too.

Stay tuned as over the next few days we will be adding a little tutorial on embossing and hot set powders.  If you have never given these a try or you have been wondering how to do it - well you can follow the tutorial or feel free to ask us at the shop - we can always give you a little demo.

More details to follow.

You've got to be in it to win it is all I can say.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

What do you get when you put 34 ladies in a beautiful location in the rolling hills of Rawson?  You get 34 happy and contented ladies who scrapped up a storm over a 3 day event at the inaugural Scrapbook Lady Retreat held last weekend.

The day started with Jan, Lisa and Sandie loading up their cars with all the goodies from the shop and then we headed for the hills.  There was a convoy of cars all heading to the destination.  The first lot arrived about 2pm and then slowly but surely the rest of the gang arrived.

We set several little challenges over the weekend - one of which was to create a name card to sit on our desks - this was also a great way to meet and greet each other.  It was so nice to meet some of the people that we'd only spoken to over the phone.   We had one lady - Judy, make the long hall from Geelong.  Here is the first instalment of name cards - we picked one lucky winner - Belinda.  (Belinda's card is on the top right - the beautiful purple one).  Belinda was quite chuffed with her win.

(Second instalment of name cards - the winner chosen was Kristy.)

Dinner was next and one can only say that we were very satisfied.  Over the weekend the food was magnificent - we certainly didn't go hungry - that is for sure!!!!

After dinner we scrapped the night away - Sandie set everyone a little challenge using one sheet of patterned paper, one piece of card stock, some brads and some ribbon.  People who were up to the task had to create a set of 3 cards - they certainly outdid themselves.  We had some amazing cards created.  Here is the winning set created by Lorae (more photos to be posted later)

On Saturday we were all up and had breakfast at  8.30 and then back to the recreation room to have another fun filled day of scrapping, talking, plenty of laughing, the odd bit of chocolate and the odd drop of alcohol.  Lisa taught everyone how to make a mover card which was a popular class.  Fiona was kind enough to teach us how to colour with Copics - some of the girlies surprised themselves by actually putting a card together using their newly coloured image.  A huge thank you to Fiona for her efforts - we were all very happy. Later on that night we popped our pj's on and scrapped to all hours of the night - or should I say morning......LOL!!!!

Here is a set of cards that Jan made with her much loved Graphic 45 paper - The Wizard of Oz - it was such a great opportunity for Jan to let her her down and to sit, relax and scrap.

Sunday was another great day - we all finished up our projects and headed off home about 3pm.  It was very sad for the weekend to come to an end.  We have officially booked for this time next year with most of the girls securing their spots for another fantastic weekend.

Thank you to all who supported the Retreat.
